This temperature recorder is used by the professional cultivator to log temperatures in retorts or Phase II sterilization chambers for enhanced control over the sterilization of media. Two selector switches located on the face panel allow for the recording of 3 different temperature ranges at 4 different recording speeds; 6 hours, 24 hours, 7 days and 31 days, and can be set for single or continuous rotation. The unit is accurate to ± 2° F (± 1° C), and microprocessor-controlled for excellent reliability. Includes a battery backup system (8 AA batteries, not included) for continued operation up to 48 hours during power outages. Comes with snap-on feet for free-standing operation (or can be wall-mounted using the keyhole-style mounts on the back of the unit), 2 chart pens and 60 6-inch diameter chart discs, and a 4 inch stainless steel temperature probe with 15 foot wire. (Note: the included probe is suitable for use in Phase II sterilization chambers, but not in high-pressure vessels such as retorts/autoclaves. A separate probe, the TCR100P, will be required for taking readings in autoclaves.)
