This strictly limited edition version comes in a deluxe double digipack DVD case, and includes an expanded DVD-sized 32 page booklet full of exclusive new Brian Froud artwork. Additionally, the package contains a 2nd CD that includes 5 bonus tracks, an exclusive Brian Froud Qntal video, and a Brian Froud art gallery.

The title for the fifth QNTAL album comes from a madrigal by the British composer, Orlando Gibbons (1583 - 1625). QNTAL in 2006 are exploring new shores with the Silver Swan. Its no coincidence that the cover artwork was created by Brian Froud, designer of fairytale-like fantasy classics such as Lady Cottington's Pressed Faery Book or creatures from the films Labyrinth or The Dark Crystal. The art is reminiscent of a magically charged mirror that opens into a dreamy parallel universe. This time, between the harmonically flowing Elbensong and the playfully dancing Levis, Syrah, Michael Popp and Philipp Groth allow their listeners enjoyable time away from every-day life. Silver Swan brings to mind artists such as DEAD CAN DANCE, ENYA or LOREENA McKENNIT in its almost meditative moments, while always remaining a QNTAL creation which should earn the band even more enthusiastic fans.

Historic instruments, oriental-sounding percussions and carefully arranged electronic elements consistently continue the concept of creating a new kind of Old Music. Consistently different, yet with that same gift of stirring those ancient emotions and fantasies that have always moved mankind.
