Artist:
Joachim Witt
Overview:
With a 30-year career, several top ten hits and albums, and over two million records sold, Joachim Witt literally qualifies as a legend in the music industry. Some of Mr. Witt's fans include members of bands like Rammstein and Eisbrecher, both of whom drew inspiration from Witt's work in the late
90s. He had already made his mark on the German charts with a Top 10 pop hit, "Goldener Reiter," in the early 1980s. But in the late 90s, as Witt developed a darker, more aggressive style, he achieved his biggest hits ever. With the release of his Top 10 album "Bayreuth 1" came a platinum single, "Die Flut," and a growing fan base.
Format:
CD
Details:
The "Pop" album sees Witt experimenting with a slightly more pop element on several of the tracks, including the use of female backing vocals on one or two. It still rocks plenty, but Rammstein fans will still prefer his album Bayreuth 3, while fans of straight-ahead industrial dance EBM grooves will likely enjoy this outing a bit more. US version contains two bonus tracks not on the European import.
Released November 14, 2006 on Dancing Ferret Discs.
