Overview:
Format:
CD
Details:
Belarusian DIFFUZION offer a combination of straight-on EBM and upbeat dark electro with a clear melodic synth pop touch while Xev's charismatic and intriguing female vocals guarantee an impressive diversity to the album through her ability to go from harsh bitchy distorted vox to warmer dreamy singing. A solid debut album from Eastern Europe, full of cold upbeat electronics with striking female vox that will rapidly place DIFFUZION on the forefront of the female-fronted league of EBM/industrial acts alongside bands like AYRIA, PZYCHOBITCH, etc.
It was in 2005 in Minsk (Belarus) that Fof (also known for his EFF DST idm-electronica project) created DIFFUZION with the intention of mixing darkwave/electro-industrial with female vocals and give it an overall club feel. He found in Xev (singer of the famous Belarusian metal band VICIOUS CRUSADE) the perfect female voice that would give his full-on frontal electronic venture a very unique dimension. And with the extended line-up to a trio with the addition of Taelih on synths, it took them only a few months before DIFFUZION started catching the attention of the masses through their highly explosive live performances across Eastern Europe and eventually get signed by Belgium’s Alfa Matrix label.
Released mid- May, 2008 on Alfa Matrix.
