Overview:
Format:
2CD
Additional Info.:
Second essential box-set (after a box by Pankow many years ago) from legendary Contempo label, featuring maybe the most underrated Italian gothic band ever: Carillon del Dolore/Petali del Cariglione. Certainly one of the best take on British post-punk for the local eighties underground. Inside the box a large booklet - 36 pages with exclusive photos and liner notes - and the two albums (1983 + 1986), separately published in two cd's with original artwork. The debut mini-album - Trasfigurazione - revolves around the urgency of the early post-punk days, even if the original material is less aggressive and more akin to a darker mood. The lyrics are based on themes such as erotism, submission and even necrophilia. The second album 'Capitolo IV°' was produced by Valor of Christian Death (he was very impressed by the band's music and imagine) and released under the changed band name 'Petali del Cariglione' with a sound darker than ever. 2 basic re-issues, very in demand with worldwide's collectors.
Released early April, 2012 on Spittle.
