Overview:

CD
Details:
Fifteen years ago, the Italian cult band called "NOT MOVING" disbanded. Lilith rose out of their ashes and are now back after a silence of 4 years with a new album, an eclectic musical excursion into Lilith's embracing, a wide spectrum of sounds and styles, from blues to punk, from atmospheres to acoustic singer-songwriters, including English, Italian and dialect languages. Besides original compo-sitions, the album also features a series of covers of songs by Italian/Belgian Adamo, a deep-flavored blues track by Robert Johnson and a punk songs with a look at the past with 'Lazy' by the Nuns (seminal American punk act of late 70s). Also featured is a completely re-recorded version of 'Baron Samedi', the very first track Lilith sang with Not Moving in 1981 - here in a distorted and much upgraded version! During their carreer Lilith toured all over Italy and Europe , supporting Clash , J.Thunders, Celibate Rifles, Stooges and were appearing on both Italian National Televison and the British BBC. Often compared to Marienne Faithfull, Siouxsie or Lydia Lunch, Lilith play a mix of blues, punk, folk, jazz and cabaret. "A Kind of Blues" is a tribute to the Miles Davis' masterpiece with a provocative cover.
Released May, 2012 on Alpha South.
