‘William McLane’ A striking new day blooming tropical waterlily. It has 6" to 8" deep purple-blue flowers that are very cup shaped. It has more than forty petals. This new tropical waterlily was awarded the Banksian Medal at the International Waterlily and Water Garden Society 1997 trials at the Denver Botanical Gardens. It was selected the best overall new waterlily of the year. It was named after the founder of Florida Aquatic Nurseries,
the late father of Brad and Bruce McLane.
